Hero cat rescues his day-old kitten from fox attack

A tiny kitten survived by a whisker after a cat, who is thought to be his father, faced off with a fox to keep him safe. The kitten is being cared for by Cats Protection’s Gwent Branch after brave moggy Ozzy alerted owner Sarah to the attack in the early hours of the morning.

A newborn kitten has been saved from being caught up in a lawnmower by her heroic rescuer, who then bottle-fed her through the night. Darryl Messer was cutting the lawn at his home in Whitehaven, Cumbria when he spotted the tiny ginger kitten in the longer grass.

Kittens found close to death in a greenhouse

Two kittens are lucky to be alive after they were rescued from a greenhouse in Southampton by Cats Protection volunteers. The litter had been abandoned at just a few hours old and sadly, one of the kittens had already died when the volunteers arrived, leaving them very concerned about the remaining two.

Cats Protection ‘go fishing’ for kittens in dramatic rescue

Four kittens stuck in a six-inch gap between buildings were rescued thanks to a £1.79 child’s fishing net and a broom handle. Quick-thinking volunteers from Cats Protection’s Gwent Branch taped the net and broom together, balanced on a step ladder and reached into a tiny gap between a wall and a conservatory.
