
Lucky black cat Yogi is the 1,000th cat to find his purrfect new home thanks to the Cats Protection centre in Gateshead

With patience and understanding from his new owners, nervous Elvis has made his new home his own

A tiny kitten abandoned outside the gates of Cats Protection’s Tyneside Adoption Centre was lucky to be discovered before he could escape onto a busy road.

Poorly cat Marvin was looking at spending his final days in a centre until a kind cat lover stepped in and took him home. When the nine-year-old moggy arrived at Cats Protection’s Tyneside Adoption Centre he initially appeared well.

Two unwanted cats are in need of new homes in time for the festive season, having each been given up twice already. Popsy and Betsy are currently being cared for at Cats Protection’s Tyneside Adoption Centre after their initial adoptions didn’t work out.

Cats Protection wouldn’t be able to help so many unfortunate cats and kittens across the UK if it wasn’t for our incredible team of over 11,000 volunteers who generously give their time, knowledge and skills to our cause.

Through no fault of their own, some moggies get overlooked time and time again – perhaps because they’re older, a little shy or have special medical needs.

Wilbur is a polydactyl cat, meaning he has an additional digit on each of his paws. Instead of the normal 18 toes, this adorable black-and-white puss has a total of 22!
