Alfie's Hands-Free Homing tale

03 August 2020

We have another lovely tale about a successful rehoming during lockdown using Hands-Free Homing. Alfie, formerly known as Gizzy, has been happily rehomed and his new owner has written about how they found the process. It is always fantastic to hear stories like this, especially how it all works during lockdown.

"We’d been hoping to adopt a furry friend since we moved into our new home before Christmas, and when lock-down struck we thought we were out of luck. I emailed Cats Protection Bristol to enquire about hands-free homing, and it turned out to be a really straightforward process, and Lesley was so helpful in talking us through the process.

We fell in love with Alfie (renamed from Gizzy) as soon as we saw him on the website. He was described as ‘the big boy with the big heart’ and that’s exactly what he is! He took to his new home straight away, quickly claiming the prime sofa spot, and making his demands for Dreamies known. He’s incredibly affectionate, and likes nothing better than snoozing wrapped around your legs on the sofa.

We’re really grateful to Cats Protection Bristol for matching us with Alfie, and for making the hands-free homing process so easy. We felt informed and supported all the way, and would really recommend it."
