We are always looking for fosterers.  We need fosterers who are prepared to have a chalet or chalets erected in their garden, indoor fosterers to foster in a spare room and short term kitten fosterers also to foster indoors. It would also be helpful to have emergency fosterers prepared to foster for short periods of time during emergencies and holidays .  We especially welcome Indoor and Emergency Fosterers.  Also needed are support fosterers who would enjoy caring for cats in their chalets when their fosterer is on holiday.

These examples below are from some of the fosterers over at our sister Yeovil branch.

Jan, from Yeovil would love to have a cat but lives near a dangerous road so in September 2010 she found out about fostering and now has a chalet in her garden where she can spend all the time she likes caring for her boarders before they move on to loving homes.

Nesta has been fostering indoors for 4 years and "absolutely loves it".  She prefers kittens ("her babies") to adult cats as they are amusing, cute and very playful.  She feels lost without the kittens when they are adopted.  The house feels empty as the kittens always bring such happiness to her home.  Nesta cannot wait to get her next litter of kittens.

All cats and kittens coming into care are lovingly cared for and often nursed back to full health by our hard working team of volunteer foster carers.  Jane and Nesta both foster kittens indoors.  Yvonne has 3 chalets in her garden, Mel, Kate and Angie have 2 chalets each, Kath and Jan have one chalet each and Sue fosters in a spare room.  Ken and Linda emergency foster indoors.  All our foster carers are ably helped by family members and friends and they all love fostering.
