The Adoption Process

Every year we take in many cats and kittens who need new homes for a variety of reasons. Some have been abandoned, others are stray or their owners have had to give them up. We aim to find the right home for every one of these cats. Whether it's a new kitten or a cat in its twilight years, we are committed to finding them a loving new home.

To ensure we have the best chance of a perfect match between our cats and their prospective owners we carry out a virtual or face-to-face home visit. This is an important part of the homing process as it helps us match the home to the cat and vice versa. It is also an ideal opportunity for prospective owners to ask any questions they have about adopting a cat and for us to provide information and support.

We update these pages daily so that you can see the cats looking for new homes but there are always new cats coming into care. If you don't see the cat for you, please ask as we may have a new arrival who fits the bill perfectly!

On leaving our care all cats and kittens are:

- Vaccinated
- Neutered (adult cats)
- Flea and worm treated
- Microchipped
- Come with 4 weeks free Pet Plan insurance

To offer a home to one of our cats please call our branch mailbox on 0345 371 2739 and leave your details in mailbox 2, or e-mail us at homing@eastsurrey.cats.org.uk. We'll get back to you as soon as possible, but please remember that we're all volunteers and may not respond immediately.
