NEUTERING - we are working to clear up myths around spaying cats, spread the neutering message and make it easier for owners on benefits and low incomes to get their cats neutered. In some cases, we may be able to help with the cost of a neutering operation. If you need help financially, we might be able to help with neutering costs.  Please get in touch with our neutering officer if you do not qualify or need further advice about neutering your cat, email: neutering@cheltenham.cats.org.uk or telephone: 07920 233633.

Cat adoption in Cheltenham and Tewkesbury

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Cheltenham and Tewkesbury? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

The cost of adopting a cat is £90
The cost of adopting a kitten is £110 *
(* this cost relates to adopting a kitten under the age of 6 months)

For your information:  we do not have a central Rescue Centre - our welfare facilities consist of dedicated volunteer fosterers, in and around the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury area, caring for cats either in their own home or in specially designed pens in their garden - they spend considerable time making sure the cats are ready for adoption and their new forever homes.

Fundraising events in Cheltenham and Tewkesbury

On Saturday, 18th May we have booked a stall at Tewkesbury's Big Weekend. Please come along, it's going to be a brilliant event. As well as our stall there will be other Saturday attractions. Plus a walking circus Parade at 3.30 from Sun Street.

Volunteer at Cats Protection Cheltenham & Tewkesbury Branch

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Cheltenham & Tewkesbury Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

Please consider volunteering for any of the following roles:

Cat/kitten fosterers
Do you have a spare room you could help look after a cat in or a space in the garden to put up a pen? It is a very rewarding voluntary job and HELP is always at hand if needed. If you are practical and love cats, please contact Andrew, our Welfare Officer on 0345 3712730, for more information.
