Cats Protection recommends that cats are spayed or snipped at around four months of age or younger. Once done, the cats live longer, healthier lives and it is the most humane way to stop unwanted pregnancies. Spaying or snipping also prevents some cancers, helps stop the spread of FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), reduces straying, fighting and spraying.
So far this year we have already had over 100 kittens in our care...this is why neutering is so very important to us!
(Yes they are beautiful! - Gizmo, Gidget, Dobby, Lexi & Ginge)
Aswell as educating we help out individuals who cannot cover the cost of neutering/ spaying their cat.
If you feel that you would benefit from our advice or need help covering the cost.
Please call our neutering officer Julie on: 07595 207059
We also help on local farms to neuter and spay feral cats to stop uncontrolled breeding, We will socailise any kittens and rerelease the adults back to what they do best! mice!
We will finish with our usual plea – if you or anyone you know is in need of neutering your cat and cannot afford the cost, we may be able to help.
