Adopt a cat

When wanting to adopt a cat it will help both you and us if you have some idea of what type of cat you are looking for.

  • Male or female
  • Do you have children or other pets – this can affect which cat is suitable for you.
  • Do you live away from main roads so that a cat would have room to roam safely?
  • Would you like a young active, lively cat or prefer an older, possibly quieter cat?
  • Do you have the time and patience for a timid cat that needs to learn to trust humans again?
Once you have thought this over then please get in touch with our helpline and give us as much detail as you can about the type of cat you are looking for. Your details will be passed to our Homing Officer who will contact you to arrange a home visit with you.

All the cats we home will have had flea and worm treatments, will be micro-chipped, neutered where possible (when age allows) and vaccinated. Kittens under 4 months old will not be neutered, but would be expected to be neutered by the prospective owner – a voucher for the neutering will be given at the time of adoption.

Our adoption fee includes neutering, vaccinations, flea and worm plus a microchip
