Well, we are still living in strange times and I don’t think Mum is ever going back to her office. The novelty of video conference calls has worn off for me, so I’ve stopped walking over the keyboard and just leave her to it while I concentrate on the important business of napping.
The branch is now able to take in and rehome cats. All our pens are full and Mum is spending a lot of time cooing over kittens. I have to keep reminding her that they will grow up and won’t always be so cute, but she just tickles my ears and tells me that I am still her baby. Shhh Mum - think of my street cred!
We are able to issue neutering vouchers again and for £5.00 you can get your cat or kitten microchipped at the same time. This is such a good idea, especially with the good weather we are having between the showers, which can encourage us cats to wander and get lost.
There is still no face to face fundraising but Cats Protection has a great challenge for September – the Nine Mile Challenge. You can walk/run/cycle this in one go or break it into smaller chunks. It would be great if you could get some sponsorship but you can also make a donation or take part to raise awareness. Mum has signed up and I’m looking forward to hearing all about it when she gets back! You can find full details here: https://www.cats.org.uk/9miles
Please stay safe and well and enjoy spending extra time with your cats. We love having you at home with us and it is fun helping you to embrace modern technology!
Until next time.
