Cat missing for 15 months reunited on New Years Day 2021

06 January 2021
Cat missing for 15 months reunited on New Years Day 2021 September 2019, Charlie went missing from his home in Barton Seagrave.

The Cox family searched all around with his favourite toys, calling his name, asking neighbours and putting up flyers, but they had no luck in finding him.

The summer of 2020 marked the passing of Charlies sister, which made Charlie still being missing all the worse.

In December 2020, one of our volunteers mother had been feeding a timid, hungry cat that she had seen frequently in her garden. Beginning to think the cat may be stray, we set up a trap and scanned the cat. We got in touch with the Cox family, now living in Kettering, on New Years Day, 2021, asking if Charlie was indeed missing.

We worked to quickly reunite Charlie, who was found only a few streets away from their old Barton Seagrave address. Charlie is now back with his loving family and not spending another winter outdoors, which would have not been possible without microchipping.
