How it works... Hands Free Homing
As lockdown measures have eased we have had to come up with new ways of re-homing the cats in our care. In line with Government and Defra advice we have successfully trialed 'Hands free' homing, making it safe to adopt from us once again!
Follow the steps below to see how it works...
1: Visit our webpage www.cornwall.cats.org.uk to view the cats that are ready to be homed.
Contact us via the button at the
bottom of the cat's profile page to express interest in this particular cat.
2: If your application has been successful you will be contacted by a member of staff to have a chat about the process and the cat you have applied for.
If unsuccessful you will receive an email, and be encouraged to continue keeping an eye on the website.
All applications are viewed on a first come, first serve basis, then are subject to location and suitibility checks.
We endeavour to respond to your enquiry within 24 hours, but during busy times this may take longer.
3: Our staff will send pictures or videos, talk through the cat's history and how to settle them in their new home.
All admin is done remotely and any payments can be taken securely over the phone. We have many ways we can contact you (including whatsapp).
4. Current COVID 19 restrictions fortunately still allow us to re-home cats, but your cat will need to be collect by yourself, or delivered by us if that is nt possible.
(Inside our centre is still closed to the public until further notice).
Rest assured that we are here to assist you through the process not just in adopting but helping where we can to ensure your new cat settles well and that you have no concerns.
We have improved our contact procedures for cats that have left the centre, so we are never more than a phone call away if you have a question.
