Cat and Kitten Crisis

23 July 2016

Our adoption centre is bursting at the seams with many loving cats and kittens requiring a home. We are desperately appealing for new owners to come forward and consider adopting from us. You know you can adopt with confidence with all cats being vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, chipped and treated for fleas & worms. We ask for an adoption fee of just £60 which helps to offset some of these costs.

We always face a difficult time each summer but this year is worse than usual with our waiting list reaching crisis point. We are powerless to help them because we are already stretched to the limit. We are already looking after over 200 cats & kittens, with many more expected due to unneutered females delivering unwanted kittens and needing maternity care. To make matters worse, we are receiving fewer enquiries than usual as a result of the holiday season.

All cats admitted to the centre will stay here until they find a new forever home, regardless of how long this takes. We rely upon cats finding homes before we can offer any new vulnerable and homeless ones a safe place to stay. Rescue cats & kittens aren’t bad . . . . they are just unlucky.

Please help us by sharing this news with your cat loving friends. If you have space in your heart and home please come and visit. Don’t worry if your house is full please just help us spread the word.
