Direct Homing Scheme

Direct Homing Scheme
When we are unable to take in a cat that needs a new home we try to help through our Direct Homing Scheme.

We will feature the cat on our website while the cat stays with its current owner and they continue to be responsible for its health and welfare. We make no claim to accurate knowledge of the cat, its health, vaccination status, or whether it is neutered. We do, however, ask that any cats homed this way are neutered. Cats Protection may be able to help with the cost of this.
It is up to the potential adopter to liaise directly with the cats current owner to decide if the cat is suited to its possible new home. Northumbria Cats Protection Branch can give no guarantees to either owner or adopter. The branch charges not fee for the Direct Homing Scheme.

Cats on our Direct Homing Scheme will stay on our website for four months.  At that point we will assume, unless otherwise advised, that the cat has been rehomed and will remove their details from our website. If the cat has not found a new home, and the owner wishes for their cat to remain on our website, we ask that the owner contacts us via email.
