Delight for Duchess

WHEN Duchess came to us, she was a scared girl who hid away in her basket. But, after only a few days of TLC from a fosterer, she was a different cat - friendly and loving a fuss.
Her previous owners had told us that Duchess, a beautiful white British Short Hair, could not be picked up as she would scratch. She had been bought as a kitten but lost her appeal when she grew up and was sadly left outside to fend for herself.
It seems Duchess was a very unhappy girl who just needed to be shown love to be a nice pet. Once she was ready for homing, it took only a few days for her to be chosen by Ellie and her family.
As the photos show, Duchess settled in quickly and was soon enjoying cuddles with the children. Ellie was delighted, telling us: 'Thank you so much for letting us adopt Duchess!!
'She's settled in really well. We got her a comfy bed but she's decided that my bed is where she's going to sleep :-)'
