We are a local branch of Cats Protection ~ we are dedicated to helping cats and kittens in our area.
The aims of our branch are simple:
~ finding new homes for cats in need
~ supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats
~ improving people's understanding of cats and their care.
Vets' fees account for most of our running costs along with food and litter. We need to fund raise constantly in order to support the many cats in our care. Donations, no matter how small, are always gratefully received. Thank you.
We appreciate that not everyone can find the time to be a volunteer, but perhaps you could support our branch by donating to one of our worthwhile causes below.
Local Membership: For just £5 a year you will receive a newsletter (at least 3 times a year), giving details of cat work done, cats & kittens in our care, fundraising events, stories, quizzes and more. Monthly Donations & One-off gifts: Your donations really do make the difference and allow us to carry on our work to ensure a bright future for all the cats and kittens in our care.
Food Donations: Our collection bins are located at Tesco in Annan, Tesco in Lockerbie and The Co-op in Langholm.

Easyfundraising: Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday you could be raising free donations for our branch with Easyfundraising?
Lifelines Scheme: Everytime you scan your card at Pets at Home you can raise lifelines for the cats in our care. Just search for "Cats Protection Eskdale and District Branch" in the app.
Cat related Items: If for whatever reason you have unwanted items such as cat beds, scratch posts toys or even food please think of us as we can re-use these items for our foster cats.
Cat Pen Sponsorship: Hungry, homeless and alone, so many unwanted cats arrive at our branch. Sponsoring a cat pen is one of the best ways you can help, providing them with shelter, warmth, food, medical care and the love they need. You'll get close to some very special cats as a Cats Protection Sponsor. Your cosy pen is heated and full of snuggly blankets to give an abandoned cat a warm welcome. You'll also help us microchip and neuter each cat, provide veterinary care and give lots of attention until we find them their forever homes. All we ask is for a monthly direct debit to the amount of your choice.
Legacies: Legacies are always gratefully received. If you are thinking of making or changing your will, please remember us. Do specify in your will that any legacy is for the Eskdale & District Branch. We can provide a leaflet about your will on request.
