Can you help Tibbs this summertime?
29 July 2021
Tibbs came into our care back in April 2021 when her owner passed away. She arrived underweight, with scabby skin and a very thin coat caused by an allergy to fleas, and she needed a dental.
Gradually after lots of TLC Tibbs was ready and able to have her dental which was carried out in May. This all healed very nicely but just as Tibbs started her search for her new furever home we noticed she had started to show signs of Hyperthyroidism.
Our suspicions were confirmed meaning bless her she had to stop her search and instead start medication to stabilise this with a view to surgery!
Tibbs’s thyroid levels have stabilised beautifully over the past weeks meaning we can now look for her to have an operation called a Bilateral Thyroidectomy, removing the thyroid completely, which would be much better for her in the long run health wise.
Thyroidectomies cost hundreds of pounds, with this one operation alone estimated at £600.00.
With many of our fundraising opportunities still on hold due to the ongoing risks around Covid19 we are asking for your help to raise money for Tibbs this summertime. If you would like to help Tibbs on her road to recovery please click here

Thank you so much for reading Tibbs' story.
