Name: Minnie

Location: Halifax, Huddersfield & Wakefield

Minnie is a 3 year old girl who is searching for a special home where she can finally leave her difficult past behind and learn what it truly means to feel safe and loved.

Minnie had a very challenging start in life. She grew up without regular access to food and received sporadic socialisation while living in unsuitable conditions. As a result, the world can still feel like an uncertain place for her at times, despite all the progress she has made.

On the surface, Minnie is a friendly and affectionate girl. She will often come over to greet visitors and enjoys a gentle fuss from people she trusts. She prefers short interactions on her own terms. It’s clear that she wants to form connections and be part of a family.

However, beneath that brave exterior is a cat who can still feel insecure and worried. When Minnie is unsure of a situation or feels overwhelmed, she can become overstimulated and may struggle to cope. She needs people who can recognise when she is feeling anxious and give her the understanding and space she needs.

Because of this, Minnie is looking for an adult-only home. She will thrive with patient adopters who can move at her pace, respect her boundaries, and help her continue to build trust.

For the right people, Minnie will be an incredibly rewarding companion. She has already shown just how resilient she is, and with love, patience and understanding, we know she will continue to blossom into the happy, secure cat she deserves to be. Her new owners would need to be happy with a ‘hands off’ approach at least initially.

Minnie will initially want to settle in, in a predominately outdoor area where she can familiarise herself with her new surroundings without the challenges indoor living can bring to a cat who can lack confidence. We would love it, if Minnie also had the option to live indoors in the future once she’s had chance to find her paws.

Minnie is looking for a home where she’s the only pet please.

Could you be the person to give Minnie the fresh start she’s been waiting for? Please apply today - she’s waiting patiently…for you!
