Name: Douglas Fir

Location: North Yorkshire Cat Centre

Douglas Fir is just 1½ years old and was a much-loved boy in his previous home. Sadly, after a separation and with his owner working away frequently, they felt they couldn’t provide him with the right environment or the time and attention he truly deserves — so he has come to us to find a brighter, more present future. This lad is a big softy and still very much a kitten at heart. Playful, curious and full of bounce, Douglas absolutely loves his toys and will happily entertain you (and himself!) with his antics. Beneath that playful streak is a sweet-natured, affectionate boy who is genuinely hungry for attention and thrives on human company. Douglas would be well suited to a family home where there’s plenty of interaction and love to go around. Older children would be just fine, especially if they’re keen to join in with playtime. What he really needs is someone who can offer him consistency, companionship and the time to make him feel like a true part of the family. When he’s ready to venture outdoors, Douglas will need a home away from busy roads, with access to a safe green space where he can explore, stretch his legs and burn off some of that youthful energy. With his big heart, playful paws and loving nature, Douglas Fir is ready to put down roots in a home that will cherish him for years to come.
