Name: Archie

Location: Dorset Cat Centre

Archie is a shy, sensitive boy, around 6-years-old who came into our care as a stray, believed to have been left behind when his previous owners moved. Understandably, he’s cautious with new people and very noise-sensitive, so he needs time, patience, and a calm environment to feel safe.
Once he begins to trust you, Archie shows a quiet curiosity, but he’s likely to prefer a hands-off approach for a while. After lots of time and patience from our team, he will now approach trusted people for a fuss, a big step for a cat like Archie, and a lovely sign that he’s starting to feel safer. He would thrive in a peaceful home where he can settle at his own pace, with people who understand that confidence grows slowly for cats like him.
Whilst in our care, Archie has been neutered, microchipped and has had a dental.
A home with space to roam — or even a small holding — would suit him beautifully, giving him the freedom to choose how and when he interacts. With the right home, we feel Archie will finally have the security and gentle routine he’s been missing.
