Name: Teddy

Location: Leeds Cat Centre

Teddy came into our care as a suspected stray after being found with an injured paw. Thankfully, some kind members of the public took him to a vet, where he received the treatment he needed before starting his journey with us.

Teddy is a friendly, confident boy who enjoys being around people and loves plenty of fuss and attention. He has a loving nature and is always happy to spend time with his favourite humans, making him a wonderful companion.

Although Teddy is generally a confident and outgoing boy, he can be sensitive to loud or sudden noises and may become unsettled if he feels worried or overwhelmed. At these times, he can occasionally give a quick nip as a way of expressing that he needs some space. For this reason, Teddy would be best suited to a calm, adult-only home where his new family can take the time to understand his cues and allow him to settle at his own pace. With patience, reassurance and a little understanding, we believe Teddy has every chance to grow into a happy, loving and affectionate companion.

Teddy has also taken a little time to adjust to using his litter tray, which is likely due to his previous life outdoors. His new family should be prepared to continue supporting him with this as he settles into home life.

Teddy is a lovely boy with a big personality who really enjoys human company. He may need a little more understanding and patience than some cats, but we believe the right person will discover what a special and affectionate companion he can be.
