Name: Barti

Location: Northern Ireland

This special little boy is seeking a loving home! He is in the care of our North Antrim & Glens volunteer team.

This little guy is only short of 1.5yrs old, and has had a pretty tough time. Barti is deaf, and unfortunately due to damage had to have his eyes removed, so is also blind.

However, you wouldn't really know it! Barti is a sweet, playful little man who navigates the home very well with the use of his whiskers and vibrational senses! He has no problem at all with his litter tray use, using stairs, playing with toys (somehow even able to track his feather toy!). and he loves to sleep in bed beside his fosterer! He adores puzzles, and is the master of puzzle feeders - he loves the challenge, and is extremely good at working out how to get to his prize! Barti uses his whiskers to map out his environment, and then simply remembers his surroundings - so despite being deaf and blind, the only thing he really needs when he moves to his new home is to be given time to map it out room by room. Which doesn't take long!

Barti is a confident little cat once settled, who would get on well with children (though ideally cat wise or older, as he can be startled awake by sudden touch when sleeping). He can live with a calm, cat friendly dog. And will obviously for his safety be seeking a strictly indoor only home! Someone home a good amount of time would be ideal as he loves snuggles and likes reassurance sometimes.
