At 17 years old, Ruby is a graceful, loving lady looking for a quiet place to call home. She may be in her golden years, but she still has plenty of love to give and absolutely adores a good cuddle. When you sit down, don’t be surprised if she comes over for a snuggle and rewards you with the most soothing purr you’ve ever heard. She even has a sweet little squeaky meow to let you know when she’s feeling especially content.
Ruby’s favourite things in life are simple: soft blankets, gentle brushes, and tasty treats. She’s not one for toys these days, but she delights in the company of her humans and loves to be close by, especially during a quiet moment.
Ruby would prefer a peaceful home where she can be the only pet, and she’s happy to share her space with calm, respectful children aged 5 and over who understand her need for rest and gentle affection.
She’s recently had a full health check, and her blood tests show signs of early stage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). While this isn’t something that can be cured, it’s easily managed with a special diet - Ruby’s new family will be supported with the food she needs to get started.
This lovely girl is ready for a calm, cosy home where she can relax and be cherished. If you have a warm lap, a quiet corner, and a loving heart, Ruby could be the perfect companion for you.
Ruby is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Ruby is looking for a home away from busy roads and railways to keep her safe.

💗 Let’s find this sweet senior the peaceful retirement she so deserves. 💗
A safe, secure, quiet room to start off in would be ideal for Ruby. A room where she can have a separate area for food and water. For a litter tray placed as far away as possible from her food and water. For somewhere to hide, access to a high spot where she can view her surroundings, a suitable place to sleep or, ideally, a choice of them, a scratching post and a few cat toys and space for her to play. We would recommend a Feliway Optimum diffuser in her room, as she will likely hide away for a few days when she goes to her new home.
