Name: Mickey

Location: Bedford & Biggleswade

Mickey is a beautiful 18-month-old grey tabby with a story that has left him a little unsure of the world. Found straying at a busy service station, we don’t know how long he had to fend for himself - but it’s clear he’s had to be brave for a long time.

Because of this, Mickey can be wary, especially around sudden movements or unfamiliar people, and he may react out of fear. But underneath that uncertainty is a gentle, loving soul who truly wants to trust again. He is a cat who wants to love and be loved.

Once Mickey feels safe and settled, his affectionate side begins to shine. With patience and kindness, he learns to enjoy soft head, neck, and chin strokes - and before long, you’ll be rewarded with purrs, snuggles, and even his endearing little dribble when he’s especially happy.

Mickey is looking for a calm, adult-only home with no other pets, in a quiet area away from busy roads and railways. He needs someone who will give him time, understanding, and space to grow in confidence.

In the right home, Mickey won’t just be a pet - he’ll be a deeply rewarding companion, proving that love, once found, is always worth the wait.

A safe, secure, quiet room to start off in would be ideal for Mickey. A room where he can have a separate area for food and water. For a litter tray placed as far away as possible from his food and water. For somewhere to hide, access to a high spot where he can view his surroundings, a suitable place to sleep or, ideally, a choice of them, a scratching post and a few cat toys and space for him to play. We would recommend a Feliway Optimum diffuser in his room, as he will likely hide away for a few days when he goes to his new home.
