Name: Monsieur Lemaire

Location: Tyneside Cat Centre

Bonjour! Je m’appelle Monsieur le Maire! So, I’m afraid that’s the limit of the French words that I know and I can’t pretend any longer! I’m an English cat born and bred, I just have a very fancy French name. If you feel that my name is a bit of a mouthful, you are welcome to call me Mr M. To be honest, I don’t mind what you call you, as long as you have lots of time to play with me, you are a friend of mine. I have been living here in our foster home for a while now and I already have my paws well and truly under the table! I think I’ve explored just about everywhere now – I know where the best sun puddles are and I’ve also squirrelled away a stash of the best toys so I know where to find them in a toy emergency! You’d be surprised how often a toy emergency crops up – sometimes I just get an urgent need to play and have to rush off to find a ping pong ball at a moment’s notice! I am a sweet and playful little boy and I’m always very happy when humans stop by to visit. I will come trotting over to meet visitors with my tail in the air and my foster carer says that I look like a little dodgem car. My foster carer also describes me as a bundle of fluff and fun and she’s not wrong! I do have a lot of both! I like to be fussed over and generally adored if you are very lucky, I will reveal my hidden secret – you might think that I am a black cat, but when I roll over you will be in for a surprise! I have an extremely cute and fluffy grey tummy hidden away! So, that’s all from me for now so I’ll say a bientot! (thank goodness for Google Translate! ??)
