Hello, my name is Alice and I am a beautiful black long haired girl. My luscious locks get matted very easily and I have had to have a major re-style to tame them. I don't enjoy being groomed at the moment, as I have found it uncomfortable in the past. Because of this, the lovely team at the adoption centre have been working closely with me through training sessions, to work towards accepting grooming in the future and it being a much more positive experience. I am therefore looking for an owner who is keen to continue building on the training programme I have in place. I really enjoy my clicker training sessions and I am looking for someone who has the patience to help me learn to love grooming. I show my affection by rubbing against the human’s I have built a bond with, but because I have some previous association with hands grooming me and it not being enjoyable, I can get a bit concerned when hands move and I think I might not like it. I like it best if I can choose what I rub against and direct my affection towards. I am looking for an owner who can read my signals to understand what I enjoy. I love catnip and playing with fishing rod toys! Having never ventured outside before, I am happy as an indoor cat. I am looking for a quiet, adult only home as I can get unsettled by busy environments and lots of noise. I have never lived with other pets and so would also love to be the only princess in the household.
