Pensioner Pusses Adopted
Forest of Dean CP were somewhat daunted by a request to find a new home for three 18 year old cats whose owner had sadly died. Its not always easy to find a home for one cat of such senior years, never mind three! Moreover, the family insisted that the cats would be traumatised if they were separated from each other and begged us to find a home where they could remain together. They had been with their previous owner since they were kittens.

Never a Branch to admit defeat, we contacted other CP centres in the local area in the hope that, between us, we could find a new home for these cats but it was a special thrill when we were contacted by a family in our own patch! A Home Visit was carried out to ensure that the family understood just what they were taking on and that it was a home and an area where the cats would be safe. Thankfully, everything proved very satisfactory. The two families were put in touch with each other and lo and behold ...three elderly pussy cats had been swept off to their new home!

We are told that they made themselves at home in no time at all and have wasted no time in getting their new family to rearrange their furniture to suit them. An ample sitting and sleeping place is necessary so that all the cats can sleep together!

A very happy outcome!
