Fram & Sax News - September 2020
01 September 2020
The branch has been delighted and relieved to be able to home the many cats we have had in our care over recent month. We have had to keep to strict guidelines from Cats Protection and Defra and thank the many new adopters for bearing with us while they had to wait a little longer than usual to take in their new feline friends.
Face-to-face fundraising is still on hold, but we are keeping our paws crossed that we may be able to hold a couple of Christmas events. In the meantime we would like to thank all of our supporters who have sent donations of money, cat food, toys and from one kind lady the proceeds from tomato plant sales. These have all been a great help and a boost to morale for the branch volunteers knowing that we have such good friends and supporters.
As with the other animal charities we are expecting an influx of cats and kittens over the next few weeks and months, mainly due to a change in circumstances for their owners. We will do our very best to help and one way is the issuing of vouchers to cover the cost of neutering to stop unwanted litters. This cost to our budget is considerable but we are fortunate that our local veterinary clinics give a discount to the branch for these operations and it is essential that we continue to fund the neutering for those in need.
If you are able to help us with a donation, we have a dedicated Fram and Sax JustGiving page at Just Giving
or donations can be made direct to the branch electronically or by cheque. Full details can be found on here
. We greatly appreciate all donations, large or small. Looking for a home:
Sam is just under a year old and Suki is about six months old. They are not siblings but they come from the same household so are probably cousins. They are very sweet and both are very energetic. They are playful and love to chase and play with toys and once they get to know you love a stroke or tummy tickle. See them here: https://www.cats.org.uk/framandsax/adopt-a-cat?cid=283768
