About Cats Protection Framlingham & Saxmundham: Now into our 36th year!
Cats Protection Framlingham & Saxmundham was formed in 1989 by a group of local people who were increasingly concerned about the rising number of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens in the area. Approval from Cats Protection to establish a local branch followed in April 1990.
Since then, we have gone from strength to strength. Today, we find loving homes for around 120 cats and kittens each year and support many more through medical care, neutering programmes, and general welfare assistance.
Our work is carried out entirely by volunteers. We simply couldn’t help the cats and kittens in our community without the dedication, compassion and hard work of our committed team.
As we do not have a purpose‑built adoption centre, every cat in our care is looked after either in outdoor cat cabins in our fosterers’ gardens or in safe, comfortable spare rooms within their homes. This small, home‑based approach allows each cat to receive the individual attention and care they need while they wait for their forever home.

We have an Amazon Wishlist for donations, which can be found here: Fram & Sax Amazon.
