Poppy (2003 - 22 April 2014)

Poppy cat was recently PTS due to an aggressive tumour on her face, we had 7 weeks from diagnosis to her leaving for Rainbow Bridge. Our Poppy was a rescue cat and we got her in 2003 aged 9 months.  We had 11 happy, happy years with her and we kept the name Poppy.  I remember the lady we adopted her from saying that the cats were named after people who had helped home them. Poppy was buried in our garden.  This photograph was taken when she was happy and healthy about a year ago.  When the time is right I would like to rescue another wee red and fawn colour tabby as I absolutely loved her and so did daddy...the colour of Poppy's paw just at her legs...not to replace her as no one could fill Poppy's paws.  RIP Poppy xxx

Riggins (24 September 2012 - 06 January 2014)

Our beautiful cat Riggins was killed outside our home by a hit and run driver on Monday 06 January. Our family would like to thank our neighbours for all their support during the incident. Riggins leaves behind his brother Clay who, like ourselves, misses him dearly. Riggins was very partial to a treat stick, grated cheese, any treat really! Such a character of a cat who did not want to leave your side and always wanted to check where you were. He was also such a great big brother to Clay and would generally wash them both!! He now rests at peace at our family home and will never ever be forgotten. xxx

Jasper (? - January 2014)

Jasper (known as Boris while he was in the care of the branch) was recently PTS having developed an aggressive cancerous tumour in this stomach. He absolutely loved sleeping on the edge of the couch, so he could see everything that was going on. If any guests came in Jasper was straight up for a pat and would often lay next to them for a cuddle. Such a friendly loving chap! His favourite toy (out of the many we bought) was actually a shoe lace! He would love it being dragged around the floor for him to catch. As a former Cats Protection Glasgow Branch cat in care, he truly did enjoy his last few months in a loving home.
