Leia is an independat outdoor female cat who enjoys exploring her territory but she usually went out for roughly an hour at a time then came home. On Monday 8 December 2014 Leia had went out for her daily wander and got caught in a very heavy downpour of sleet & rain and at the time it was though she had taken shelter and would come home when the weather calmed down. We are delighted to let you know that after being missing for just over 6 months – Leia was reunited back home with her family on Sunday 21 June 2015 – safe, well & very healthy after her extended adventure.

Leia had been found approximately two miles from home in April this year (2015) and had been taken in by a family - who’s older cat she had befriended. The family realised that someone, somewhere must be looking for her and had looked through various sites to see if they could see her photo – and they were successful - they found her details on the Cats Protection WEB page and got in touch to let us know that Leia was safe & sound and waiting to go home.

Leia’s family are overjoyed that she has been found & is back home where she was very much missed and Leia’s family along with everyone at Glasgow Cats Protection would like to say “Thank You” to everyone who shared her post and kept a look out for her when she was missing and also a massive “Thank You” to the wonderful family that found her, looked after her and reunited her home.

Peaches (Barmulloch, Glasgow)

GOOD NEWS – PEACHES HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS NOW BACK HOME. Peaches is a 7-month-old grey & white tabby female kitten who had just starting to venture outdoors and explore her garden. She is a right wee character who enjoys getting into all sorts of mischief & loves being the centre of attention and she usually didn’t venture far from her home. On Friday 13 March 2015 she had went out for a wee play in the garden and then disappeared. An extensive search of the area by her family was unsuccessful at finding her. As a last resort they contacted Glasgow Cats Protection and after an appeal was put on the CP facebook pages information came in that a kitten matching Peaches description had been found on Monday 16 March in a nearby neighbouring street and was taken to the SSPCA centre. However, when her family originally called to check if she had been handed in, they were unsuccessful at finding her. After receiving information from our facebook followers her family called back with more detail and finally found that she was indeed in the centre. Peaches had been put up for adoption, however, due to her not being spayed delayed the adoption and gave her family the time needed to find her & get her back home. She was happily reunited back home on Thursday 26 March 2015 after 13 days of adventure. Words cannot describe how Peaches family feel at having her home and they would like to say a very sincere “Thank You” for all your help in reuniting Peaches home. Welcome home Peaches x

After being missing for 90 days Ollie was reunited back home with his family on Wednesday 11 March 2015 after being found approximately 15 miles from his home.
