Georgious has very kindly sent us an update on Indy which we would love to share with you:
Hello! This is just a wee update on Indy who I adopted back in October! He's been a fantastic little boy and has settled in perfectly! He's very talkative and playful; we spend at least two hours a day running about in the flat! He's had a wee bladder infection for a few days back in November, but he fully recovered within three days and went back to his normal cheery self!
Hope you had a great Christmas & wish you all the best for the New Year x
SUCCESS STORY: Zachary (adopted by Louise & family 18 December 2016)
Zachary was adopted by Louise & her family and has now been in his “forever” home for nearly 3 weeks.
Louise has very kindly sent us an update on Zachary which we would love to share with you:
Zachary is such a charmer. He adores being brushed - so much so that every time I try to brush my own hair, he clambers all over me hoping to get some action! He likes to follow his new sister around and has been very respectful of her.
Though Zachary and Phoebe haven't quite reached the cuddles stage yet, they haven't had a single spat and have started to sleep on the bed at the same time. They like to watch one another play and often follow one another to the window for a gander, or into the cupboard to nosy in some boxes. Phoebe has even been bringing him mice from outdoors to hunt/play with, eek! Not sure how I feel about that team work, ha!
Zachary is playful, affectionate, and anybody's for a Dreamie! He's settled in so well that I can't imagine what life was like without him. In a few weeks I'll let Zachary outside to explore with Phoebe. I think he'll love it.
Thanks for sending him our way. He's a happy wee man, and a brilliant addition to the household x

Prince has settled in very well to his new home. He loves sleeping on the bed at night and sometimes on the pillows using our head as his pillow. He has the full run of the house and lets us know if and when he's wanting food during the night by sitting on us to wake us up.
He is constantly purring. He loves playing under the cat arch and observing everything that is going on. He also likes cuddling up on the sofa and in bed at night.
We love him so much x

We picked up Sooty on the Saturday. As normal, he was a little scared and hid under our bed. Didn't eat for a day. Was worried but next day, he ate all of his food. He lets us pet him and let us know when he had enough, although he loves his back being scratched.
He loves checking himself out from our mirror wardrobe. He knows he's gorgeous. Overall, he's been a wee gentleman.

SUCCESS STORY: Captain (adopted August 2016 by Roz & family)
Captain was adopted by Roz & family at the of August 2016 and has now been in his “forever” home for nearly 8 weeks.
Roz has very kindly sent us an update on Captain which we would like to share with you:
Well, Captain has settled, he is not a lapcat and prefers to sleep on a bed or sofa and being a large mog (even bigger when he stretches out) does take up quite a bit of room. He and Billy are now friends, not snuggly type friends but like to know where the other is, at all times. Obviously they go out and about when weather permits as neither like the rain or the wind. If they see it is raining they don't even ask for the window to be opened.
Oh and Captain has patches of soft shiny fur and adores being groomed, but not with the brush and comb - only the tangle teaser will do. His fur is thin but we are hopeful that this will thicken out as winter approaches.
Food. He prefers dry to wet and early on we gave him various biscuit options, he does have taste as he chose the Acana which just happens to be Billy's favourite too. When Captain went for his second jab and to be introduced to our vet, he was weighed and has put on nearly another kilo, hasn't filled out but is definitely heavier.
Thanks for introducing us to Captain, also known as Eddie.
Regards
Roz x

Hi there! I thought I'd give you a wee update about Benjamin, he's such a gorgeous boy and he is just adorable, I'm so glad we were able to give him a home. He's been with us nearly 10 months now and it's like he's always been here and I have to say we spoil him rotten but he deserves it.
He's an indoor boy so we make sure he gets plenty of play time, which he loves, he's particularly fond of chasing laces and diving through his play tunnel! He also loves all the attention he gets from the 4 of us and can be a big sook, he even started tolerating a wee cuddle after he'd been with us a month and will happily sit in my husband's arms and fall asleep! he's not into sitting on laps but he is my constant companion, always preferring to be somewhere nearby keeping an eye on what I'm up to and that's good enough for me.
We love him so much and have been so happy to give him a forever home which he dearly deserves. Have to say a big thanks to all of you at CP Glasgow Branch for the great work you do and for matching us with our bonnie Benjamin
Thanks again for everything x

Ronnie was adopted by Ian & his family in July and has now been in his “forever” home for two months.
Ian has very kindly gave us a wonderful update & attached some photos of Ronnie which we would like to share with you:
Hi there Cat People,
When I picked up Ronnie from his foster home, I promised I would keep you informed about his progress. That was two months ago, and I feel now that I can confirm that Ron has fully settled in his new home!
His introduction to his new family was not as traumatic as I had first feared. You see, there was Kassie, a golden labrador whose sole purpose in life, after eating, was to chase cats; a pursuit that was encouraged by her previous owner who did not like cats in her garden and who encouraged Kassie to join her in ridding her property of them.
At their first meeting, they were certainly wary of one another and Kassie had more reason than Ronnie did to be so. Maybe it was the fact that Ron was in strange territory, but he obviously felt the need to stamp his presence and cuffed Kassie round the ear.
Shortly afterwards however, peace did break out and since then, we have been a happy little family.
None of you will be surprised to hear that Ronnie rules the roost. Was it not ever so with cats .... ?
Ian, thank you for such a wonderful update. It’s great to hear that Ronnie has settled in his “forever” home and has become Kassie's new best pal x

Just a wee update on Phoebe (Marie). It's only been a week, but, I feel like I've never been without her!
This little lady loves to play! Favourites are catnip mice (present from Auntie Julie) and the laser pen! Many, many hours have been spent chasing that damn dot! Hahaha!
Definitely a super affectionate little lady! Never short on kisses and cuddles for Mummy! And even runs to meet me at the door when I come home from work!
We've only had one accident where I think she thought her bum was in the litter tray and it wasn't! But hey, these things happen! Just bought her a couple of larger litter trays.
She's being kept on her strict diet and is doing well on it, even taking time to taste her food these days.
She's responding well to her new name and comes when you call her!
She's loving all her new Aunties and Uncles and is never short on a chin scratch.
Fay & Phoebe x

Beautiful Mia (formerly Freddie) was adopted by Karen just over two weeks ago and Mia has sent us a wee letter which we absolutely love & would like to share with you:
Just wanted to let you know I've settled right in with my new family.
I have a new big brother called Tater, who I'm bringing into my way of doing things eg I need to look after all the toys now. He doesn't play properly so I need to do it for him. And the treats too, he'll get fat so I need to eat them for him. I started eating his dinner for him too but Mummy said to stop as Tater apparently needs some food occasionally (who knew!) we like playing hide and seek, Tater is good at hiding as the photo will show. Took me ages to realise he was up there - he ended up falling asleep I took so long!
I did miss you dreadfully when I left, but mummy and daddy gave me lots of attention so I'm feeling ok now.
I hope you'll let the others at CP know I'm doing well and thank them for looking after me so well.
Lots of love
Mia xxxx

Hi there humans. My name is Floki and the white ball of fluff is my sister Aria. We were adopted by two humans, the girl human is my favourite. I like waking her up at 5am every morning by licking her face. My sister likes sleeping on her neck.
We are getting neutered this week...I don't know what that means but I think it means going into the car. I don't like the car.
My sister and I love playing together and sleeping on our humans. We have lots of toys but we like to chase paper instead of our toys.
Thank you to Cats Protection for looking after us until we were big enough x

She has been desperate to get out in the sunshine so she had her first supervised outing in the garden on Tuesday and she loved it.
Thank you for such a lovely cat xx
SUCCESS STORY: Pan & Labyrinth (adopted April 2015, wee update from family June 2016)
Pan & Labyrinth were adopted in April 2015 by Lisa & Zoe and have now been in their “forever” home for just over a year now. Lisa & Zoe have very kindly gave us an update on their progress as follows:
Hi there, just thought I would give you an update on Pan and Labyrinth, who we adopted from you over a year ago now!
Another wee success story. When we adopted them as a pair in April last year, poor Labyrinth (now Larry) was absolutely petrified of everything and hid for days, scared of every movement. He had wee toilet accidents everywhere and refused to come off the top of the fridge for weeks.
His brother Pan was timid too, although not to the same extent. We've worked really hard to build Larry's confidence with games, treats and cuddles and although he'll always be a shy boy, he's now incredibly affectionate, playful and funny.
His brother Pan is a big confident chatterbox who loves his food and will play 'fetch' for ages like a wee dog. We love having them as part of our family and wouldn't be without them.
Thanks Cats Protection for letting us adopt our fur babies Lisa and Zoe x
(In this photo they're tracking a fly)

Hi there! With all the lovely success story posts I thought I'd give you a wee update about Benjamin, especially as we took our gorgeous boy home with us 6 months ago today. After a few weeks though he was grand and hasn't hid a long time.

Beautiful 6-year-old Lola was adopted by Marc & went off to her “forever” home last week. Marc had been on our waiting list and it was love at first sight when he met her.
Lola had quite a number of medical issues which needed attention prior to being rehomed & she still has a tough routine of vet appointments ahead, however, that didn’t deter Marc one bit. He has kindly sent us an update & some photos of Lola as follows:
Hi guys!

I've been very healthy cat, I like to sleep in different places, on the
bed, on the sofa, on the rug and make them all be my bed.
When I'm awake, I meow when I am hungry. Sometimes, I wake my mommy and
daddy up at 6 am in the morning if I am very hungry.
I'm not really naughty. I weight just a little less than when I first
came here.
I hope you can give my feline friends such a good home as mine.
I attach some selfie photos of me.

SUCCESS STORY: Lola & Jasper (April 2016)
Lola & Jasper was adopted by Pamela in 2015 and Pamela has very kindly allowed us to share her “Good News” story of her beautiful furbabies.
You've been sharing some lovely "good news" stories recently and I'd like to share mine.
With lots of new kittens needing homes in the next few months it seems like the perfect time!
We adopted Lola from you in June last year and as we wanted two cats I contacted you about a few of the young adults you were rehoming at the time.
I was advised a kitten would be best for me as Lola would accept the interloper more easily.
It took a few weeks to get our heads around the thought of a kitten but we got there!
We adopted Jasper in July when he was 9 weeks old. He has been and continues to be an absolute joy. He's has such a lovely nature and compliments beautiful Lola's so well.
If I could pass anything I've learned on it would be to give a wee baby cat a chance. Two cats are definitely better and easier than one.
Partners in crime! Thank you so much xxx
Pamela, thank you for such a lovely update, it is a pleasure to see them so settled into their “forever” home x
SUCCESS STORY: Daisy & Lee (April 2016)
Daisy & Lee were adopted by Nicky and went off to their new “forever” home at the weekend. Look at them now, it didn’t take them long to settle in and make themselves at home.
Here’s an update from Nicky:
“Just wanted to share a quick update on Daisy and Lee. After their first hour hiding under the bed Daisy and Lee have been settling in nicely to their home.
Every day they are getting more and more adventurous and are super affectionate.
They also seem to love posing to have their photos taken!
Thank you so much for all you help in finding my fur family, and thank you so much to the foster ladies who took such good care of them.
Nicky x
They seem to be having the time of their lives and we are so happy that they have found their forever home.
SUCCESS STORY: Jenny (April 2016)
Jenny was one of our longer term residents who came into our care in January this year and after being with us for nearly 4 months we were absolutely delighted when she was adopted by David Marks & his family and went to her new “forever” home on Saturday 9 April 2016.
Here is a wee update from David:
“This is Jenny, we gave her a forever home on Saturday.
3 days in and we are pleased to report that she is settling in well. Day one, she was very wary and stayed out of the way, day 2 she started exploring, day 3 she's out of hiding and playing with her many toys. She's a mischievous minx and is getting up to all sorts of mischief.
We love her, thanks to everyone at the CP for all of their great work”
Thanks for the update David and have fun Jenny, in your forever home x
SUCCESS STORY: Maggie & Miley (April 2016)
Beautiful ladies Maggie & Miley were adopted by Leyla last week and look at them now.
It didn’t take them long to settle in & make themselves at home and looking at the photos you would think they had been part of the family all their lives.
Thank you Leyla for sharing with, we are absolutely delighted they have been given a second chance and have found their “forever” home x
SUCCESS STORY: Joy (April 2016)
This Joy, the mother of Star who’s “good news” story is directly underneath.
When Joy came into our care in December she was a very ill little lady who was unable to produce enough milk to feed Star and she had other health issues which had taken their toll on her.
Thanks to the love & dedication of her fosterer she made a complete recovery and was adopted by Samantha in February.
Samantha has forwarded some photos which clearly show that it didn’t take Joy long to settle in and make herself at home. She is very, very happy being part of a family where she is included in whatever is going on.
Thank you Samantha for giving Joy a new “forever” home and the love that she so deserved x
SUCCESS STORY: Star (April 2016)
Remember Star, the adorable little kitten who came into care with his mother Joy just before Xmas when he was only a few days old. He didn’t have the best start in life & needed supplemental feeding as Joy was poorly and couldn't produce enough milk.
Well look at him now, Star is now 4 months old and was adopted by Fiona who absolutely adores him.
He is a mischievous little bundle of fluff who doesn’t know what to get up to next and he certainly knows how to keep his family on their toes.
What a lovely update to receive, we are all delighted that Star is enjoying life in his new home!
SUCCESS STORY: TC & Suzie (formerly Sooty) March 2016
TC & Suzie were adopted by Hugh & his family in December 2015. The have now been in their “forever” home for just over three months and Hugh has kindly given us an update on their progress below:
“TC settled in almost immediately, Suzie took a bit longer, she hid under the sofa for about two weeks but now 3 months on she rules the roost.
She has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and takes her medication well wrapped in some ham, in fact she sits at the fridge every night at 6 o'clock, she knows it's ham time.
They are healthy happy cats and have brought us a lot of joy. TC is our handsome long hair tabby and our gorgeous Suzie is the beautiful black and white lady.
Thank you CP Glasgow x.
SUCCESS STORY: Zeeva & Abby (formerly Pola & Toasta March 2016)
These two lovely ladies are Zeeva & Abby (formerly Pola & Toasta) who were adopted by Jordan at the end of last year.
As you can see it didn’t take them long to make themselves at home & try out the best place for a quick catnap.
Well done ladies and "Thank You" Jordan for giving them a second chance and a great "forever" home x
SUCCESS STORY: Norman & Regan (February 2016)
These two beautiful kittens are Norman and Regan who were found in a Paisley bus station - born on one of the buses. They were very wild at first and it took us a long time to get them ready for re-homing but the hard work all paid off.
These two beauties are now off to new homes. The lucky humans that got these two were on the kitten waiting list. So if you wished you were those lucky people get in contact to be put on the waiting list today.
A big well done to the kittens x
Success Story: Joy & Star (February 2016)
This adorable little kitten is Star. He come into care with his mother Joy (picture right - black cat) when he was only a few days old.
He needed supplemental feeding as Joy was poorly and couldn't produce enough milk. Joy had to have broken teeth removed. Both are well now and have been re-homed (from the indoor waiting list - so were not advertised)
We re-homed lots of cats like Joy and Star from our waiting list as the waiting list is our first go to before advertising cats so if you would like to be added to the list then please get in touch.
Success Story: Jess (Adopted January 2016)
This beautiful lady is Jess! Poor Jess had been in two different homes in as many days after being passed around Gumtree as 'free to good home'.
She had a really rough time but thankfully we were contacted and brought Jess into our care in January 2016. Luckily Jess learned quickly she could trust us. We got her wormed, deflead, microchipped, vaccinated and neutered. Once she had recuperated we were able to find her a loving home where she has settled in straight away.
Her lucky humans were on our waiting list for an adult cat and their patience certainly paid off!!!
Jess now has a happy loving future ahead x
SUCCESS STORY: Hamish & Dougal
Remember our two handsome brothers Hamish and Dougal? They were adopted by Amanda & her family in June and have now been in their "forever" home for 6 weeks.
Amanda has very kindly gave us an update on how they are getting on.
Just a wee update on Dougal & Hamish the two beautiful brothers we adopted back in June.
They have firmly settled in and honestly we cannot imagine our house without them - so cheeky and playful but snuggly and affectionate.
After six weeks of longingly staring at the birds out the window we have started to introduce them to the outside world again. Today is their first day of coming and going as they please. As you can see they love lying in the sunshine! Off to buy them collars with bells - need to give the birds around here a chance π πΈ John Walkerer
Thank you so much for sharing Amanda, it is appreciated and it's great to see the boys outdoors enjoying the sunshine x
