Albert (was Patch)

September 2020: Patch was reported as a stray to Gosport CP and, when scanned, was found to be chipped. Carole did some detective work and found his previous owner had died earlier this year. Since that point he hadn't been home. His owner's family were contacted and they signed him over to us to be rehomed.

Luck was certainly with Patch as we managed to get a vet appointment for the day after he came into care. He passed his health check with flying colours and had his first vacs and was advertised for adoption the same day. New owner David, who's adopted from us previously, contacted straight away and Patch - now called Albert, but known as Bertie - left after only 5 days in care!

26/09/20: David has contacted us with some photos to say that "Here he is enjoying all the comfy spots in his new home. He has explored most places, although there are a few cupboards still to check. He loves the sunny spot in the front room overlooking the garden. He has a favourite armchair, preferably if I am sitting in it. Wherever I go in the house he follows, insisting on attention. He is particularly helpful
with changing the bedding. He has to sit on each piece as I lay it down. He also helped with packing up a parcel by checking to see that the cardboard box was flat. He can empty the entire contents of the litter tray in under twenty seconds making sure that bits reach all corners of the kitchen. He has certainly made himself at home!"
