Frankie

Here's Frankie, a friendly stray reported to CP in January 2019 and it was established that his owner had died and the next of kin signed him into care.  Only a few weeks with CP and Frankie went home with Catherine where he immediately found and claimed the best spot on the sofa!

"I adopted Frankie from you back in January and I just wanted to let you know how he is getting on and say a huge thankyou! I've really lucked out with Frank, he is affectionate, tolerant, chatty, meets me at the door when I get in from work and gives me nose kisses and face nuzzles and has relaxed beautifully into my home. He roams happily around the neighbourhood, and whilst he started to cross The Road each evening in spring, to sit under the rookery and stare at the birds he couldn't reach, he now sensibly stays this side of the road and hangs out in the graveyard out back, lying in the long grass in the sun, running among the tombstones and just watching the world. He even has a lair in there behind a wall, where he hangs out and stays out of the rain. I've watched him grow to trust me over the months and allow me to get closer and closer until now he let's me rub his tummy, play with his paws and head nudge his face, purring all the while. He's not a lap cat though - he's so big I think he can't get comfortable on a lap and prefers to lie sprawled on the floor, especially after eating! Anyway, he's doing great and I'm very lucky to have such a character for a first cat. Thanks a lot! Catherine and Frankie 🐾"
