In care in December 2017, Isla was the first adoption of the year in January 2018 and has settled so well after only a week in her new home with Ed and Maria. They say "She is such a lap cat (which we LOVE!). She chats away and she comes to find us and hops onto a lap at every opportunity." A little cat who's made a big impact, Isla has delighted Ed and Maria with her character and she seems very happy and relaxed.

Isla's 5 years old and hadn't been spayed before arriving in CP care hence the shaved patch on her leg from surgery before her adoption.

Nearly a year at home with Ed & Maria we received an update on Isla. We always like to hear how the cats are continuing to enjoy life with their family. It will be a year ago on the Sunday 13th. We just thought we’d drop you a message and let you know that she is the most wonderful, spoilt happy cat we think there ever could be!! Within hours she was on our lap, and 1 year on this has become a daily habit. She dribbles and purrs so much and if we stop fussing her, she’ll head-but us to remind us who’s really in charge!!

There have been some minor health issues this year, but she’s been treated very well and diagnosed with multiple allergies (most severe are fish, resulting in surface sores around her ears from scratching) and since September when the results of skin biopsies and bloods tests came back, she’s been fully healthy. "

We absolutely adore her and we think (hope!) she feels the same. She seeks us out for company all the time and loves having her own outdoor world, though she’s never far away and comes when called. We are so pleased to have given her a new start and she obviously appreciates the love she receive from us and our families. Here are some photos (a few of the many we have!) that we hope show her thriving. Again, many thanks. She’s changed our lives as we have hers. We continue to support the cats protection and all the (sadly) necessary work you do. Best wishes, Ed and Maria"

Whilst it was sad to hear that Isla and her owners had a worrying time over a health issue the practical matter of vet bills was helped as the couple say "Luckily we have a PetPlan “insured for life” policy so all the expenses were covered. We’d recommend petplan to anyone! She is such a character, we can’t imagine how she could be more perfect for us."
