A poorly Poppy came into care in May 2013 filthy, infested with fleas and worms, and severely underweight - at 4 months old Poppy only weighed 350 gms, the size of a 3 week-old kitten.

Fast forward to March 2020, and we've just received these photos from Poppy's adopter and this lovely message:-

"After her little adventure last year when she went missing for four days, Poppy has not ventured so far lately. She came home with an injured paw which the vet thought a rat had bitten. She is still a very timid cat and is not keen on strangers. She is still fond of water and especially likes our garden ponds. She often comes in with wet paws where she has been trying to catch the fish."

Cats like Poppy are why our wonderful team of voluteers do what we do - and we couldn't be happier to see the beautiful cat she has become.

The first photo is Poppy in May 2013, when she had just come into our care. Contrast this with the other two more recent pics.
