Christmas Fayre - Thank You

Christmas Fayre - Thank You
The amazing sum of £1,134.69 was raised by the most amazing group of volunteers and supporters of Gosport CP at our Christmas Fayre on 23/11/19 at St Marys Parish Centre, Alverstoke.

It was particularly pleasing to raise so very much (£1.51 more than our 2018 Christmas Fayre!) as the weather wasn’t great and there were many other fayres and events also being held in the area.

Lots of CP calendars were bought so beautiful pictures of former foster cats and kittens will grace many a wall throughout the New Year. Next to the CP merchandise table was the chocolate tombola run by Ann & Rosie which was only possible due to the generous donations of chocolates - bars, boxes and Christmas figures. Continuing the sweet treat theme our refreshments team of Jane, Trish & Stan were able to serve delicious slices of cake home baked by Toni.

Old favourites of books, bric a brac both new and nearly new, craft and gift items were on sale alongside a mountain of jigsaw puzzles, some of them brand new, and family board games. The raffle is always popular and again we were very fortunate to have a wide variety of prizes donated; special thanks to Janet Squire for donating the fruit and vegetable baskets.

Heather, Kellie & Thomas chatted to visitors about foster cats needing forever homes, lost cats needing locating and found cats needing to be reunited with their owners.  Photo's of all these cats were shown on a tv screen.

Huge thanks to everyone who donated, baked, transported, bought, helped and generally contributed in so many ways to the success of the 2019 Christmas Fayre.

All this fabulous fundraising enables our volunteers to continue helping needy and unwanted cats, supporting owners with subsidised neutering and microchipping campaigns and through our Lost & Found service. Your support helps Gosport CP make a practical and positive difference to the well being of cats.
