It's a happy retirement for Suzie

12 February 2020
In October 2019 Gosport CP transferred Suzie, a 15-year-old black and white cat, to Cats Protection's adoption centre on the Isle of Wight.

Suzie had lived all her life in one flat and was so frightened on coming into care that she was aggressive and could not be approached. Behaviourists from the National Cat Centre advised moving her to the adoption centre so that staff could work with her over an extended period of time, and she could receive veterinary care without the need for stressful travelling.

Fast forward to February 2020 and we've received this lovely update:

Hello all at Gosport,
We thought you might like a little update on Suzie who came from you last year to the Island.

Suzie has become our resident cat and has really taken to her new life here. She really is the sweetest cat who loves head butts, being brushed and lots of fuss…all on her terms of course (she still has potential to be a grump!) We hope you like the pictures

Thank you to everyone at Isle of Wight Cats Protection Adoption Centre for giving Suzie a great 'retirement' home. We know she'll have the best of care and live out her days with the love and attention she needs and deserves 😻
