Pets At Home Fundraising weekend
24 March 2019
Our volunteers have had a busy weekend, taking part in the national fundraising event at our local Pets at Home store over the 22-24/03/19 weekend.
The weather was with us for once and we had a pleasant weekend. It was great to meet up with members of the public and hear their cat tales, and of course we always enjoy hearing how cats adopted from us are getting on. We also managed to sign up another 4 cats to our Snip and Chip campaign.
The weekend wasn't only about cats. Our volunteers met many dogs on their way to the vets and were entertained by a crow who kept returning to take food out of a sack of dog food!
Our new Simon's Cat goods proved popular and we sold all the jigsaw puzzles we took. £181.67 was raised from sales of goods and £37.76 in donations to our collecting box, making a grand total of £219.43.
Thank you to everyone who bought items and/or made a donation. We must also thank our team of volunteers who covered the weekend: Toni, Chris, Rosie, Heather, Jan, Dawn, Jo, Barb, Trish and transport man Ian, thank you so much for giving up your time.
