Volunteers Week 1st - 7th June
01 June 2021
‘Give a little time, make a big difference’
That’s certainly what Cats Protection volunteers do. Whether volunteers give many hours each week, or an hour here and there during the year, every minute of volunteering is valued and appreciated. CP volunteers make a difference to so many, both feline and human – that could be foster cats, owned cats, stray and feral cats, and to owners, those we encounter along the way of our cat rescue work and to each other. Whatever the role, every volunteer plays an important part in helping Gosport CP achieve the best we can for cats. Volunteers supporting each other throughout this past year has been wonderful and friendships made as volunteers have helped us get through.
With some activities on hold or restricted due to lockdown it’s gratifying to know that our volunteers are waiting patiently to resume volunteering as soon as guidance allows. Our cat socialisers particularly are looking forward to spending time with the foster cats again and in turn supporting our fosterers. We’ve seen first-hand how pleased people have been to see our CP team members out and about as face to face events and activities were possible.
Thank you one and all for your time and energy volunteering for the best welfare of cats and for making Gosport Cats Protection such a fabulous team.
