Adopt a cat

THE NEW HANDSFREE HOMING FOR HALESOWEN CATS PROTECTION!!

Halesowen and District Branch are delighted to be able to rehome cats through our hands-free homing initiative.

Take a look at the cats available for adoption and if you feel that you could offer one a fur-ever home fill in the online form or give us a call on 0345 260 2783. We will contact you by telephone for an initial chat and then arrange for you to speak to the cat’s fosterer to learn more about him or her – from the food they love to the type of litter they prefer.

If you’re an ideal match for the cat you’ve chosen, we’ll contact you to go through the details. You’ll be asked for the following:

  • proof of address
  • the consent of your landlord (if you’re living in rented accommodation)

We’ll then reserve your cat for you and you’ll be sent the following paperwork via email to review and sign.  This will include:

  • your cat’s medical summary
  • an adoption form
  • information from Petplan about your free four weeks of pet insurance cover

You’ll then need to pay your adoption fee, usually by card payment over the phone – our current adoption fee is £95.00 for an adult cat and £115.00 for a kitten (under the age of 6 months) Once this is finalised, you can either collect your cat or we will arrange a driver to bring your cat to your home – our drivers will have the correct PPE and have undergone training from Cats Protection to make sure they deliver your cat in a safe way.

We’re here to support you not only through the adoption process but as a new cat owner. You’ll receive a follow-up call or email around three, seven and 14 days after the adoption to check that your cat is settling in well.

You can be proud to take on a very deserving cat or kitten which have been vet checked, tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped, vaccinated (at least 1st vac depending on the amount of time the cat has been in care) and neutered (kittens will be homed with a neutering voucher). If you can help Halesowen and District Cats Protection at this difficult time by offering a loving home for life, we would love to hear from you on 0345 260 2783 or email us on adoption@halesowen.cats.org.uk.

Thank you!!
