Whose stray is it, anyway?

A recent survey found that only 42% of people would check for a collar to reunite the cat with its owner. Only 20% would even think to take the cat to a vet to check for a microchip. This National Microchipping Month, we want to ensure that everyone knows what to do when they find a lost cat.

Has the cat got a microchip?

If you're sure the cat you've found is a stray, the best thing to do is to check for a microchip at your local vet or Cats Protection branch or centre. If the details are up to date, you could be reuniting the cat with its owner sooner than you think.
