Cat killer strikes in Marlow
07 April 2018
SNARL have confirmed that two cats have been found mutilated in Marlow, Buckinghamshire between Wednesday 14th and Friday 23rd March 2018.
The police have previously issued a description of a potential suspect:
"A white male in his 40's, between 5'8" - 5'11" tall with short dark brown hair and wearing dark clothing with a hood. He possibly has scarring or pock marked skin on his face, with no discernible accent and may be wearing a head torch and backpack, or carrying a handheld torch".
If you see a man matching this description, attempting to coax or feed a cat / fox or another animal or attempting to enter gardens, call 999 quoting Operation Takahe. You can also call SNARL on 07957 830490 or 07961 030064. Please do NOT approach or try to apprehend him yourself.
Please remain vigilant, wherever you live in the UK and ensure that you keep your pet cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and try and keep any other outdoor animals indoors if you can, especially at night, as this appears to be the time that the killer strikes. If you have any information that could help to discover the identity of this person then please contact either the police, or SNARL, using the contact details provided.
Our thoughts are also with both families as they come to terms with the loss of their beloved pet cats at this time.
