2016-Joey

This is a lovely update and story of Joey who was originally called Rooster. Thank you Dei for the great update...
"Hi we contacted cats protection back in 2016 looking to add another furry member to the family , we allready had Charley a long haired black female cat and tylar the Yorkshire terrier , we have a daughter who has autism and finds animals a great joy to be around and she had been asking for some time for another cat specifically a ginger one lol , we had a home visit from the lovely Bridgett and were approved but told we would be placed on the waiting list for a kitten , we felt a kitten would find it easier settling in due to the other pets , we got a call saying they had a five month old ginger boy about a week later , did we want him , that was a massive yes we want him , from what I know his mother was in cat protection and had his litter under your care and he was the last one to be homed from the litter , Julie brought him out to us in December 2016 , he was shy and skittish and as fast as lightning but after a few days he was following us about giving affection in abundance and on best friend /partner in crime terms with the dog , that relationship hasn’t changed lol , it took a lot longer to get him and Charley on good terms, about a year , but they got there with time and supervision and perseverance , joey is very vocal fast and energetic , anything in his path is demolished , he runs up the wall so much we gave up on fixing the wallpaper and turned his fave wall corner into a giant scratch post , he’s put several holes in the carpet we’ve lost vases, mirrors etc , nearly lost a 55inch tv but we caught it as it toppled and after using the swivel chair as a launch pad and a waltzer first his own recreation it now no longer swivels , he’s also an expert at opening doors but he is the most hilarious little guy never fails to have in in stitches with his antics and he is a total teddy bear to , he will go to anyone and just start rubbing his head against them while making loud trills , he won’t stop till u return the love and give him a cuddle , he loves to climb on our shoulders and curl up for a snuggle he especially loves ponytails on ppls heads , he’s also a huge fan of the tv, he will sit glued to nature programmes but he’s also a big fan of roulette and will chase it round the screen , everyone falls in love with him he’s larger than life ,I’ve got family who ain’t keen on cats but they love joe , I’m forever grateful we were the lucky ones chosen to share our home with him cause he really is the most loveable but slightly insane little guy"
