Prices do vary from vet to vet and you will need to pay your vet the balance.

It can take 10 days for your request to be processed and we regret we are not able to process incomplete requests.

When to neuter?

Our recommended neutering age for your kitten is four months. Some vets will neuter once your kitten weighs a kilo, so they could be neutered before four months if they are healthy. Neutering a kitten is at the vet’s discretion but the earlier you can neuter the better.

Due to Covid and staff problems within the veterinary profession, many vet practices are not taking bookings for neutering for several months. Please phone around and find a vet who can neuter your cat or kitten as soon as possible.

Cats Protection helps neuter around 150,000 cats and kittens, including around 20,000 ferals, every year. Find out more about neutering your cat, from the process itself to the various health benefits, in our vet-approved guide.
