SukkiMere & Gillingham

Early in October 2018 the Branch received two beautiful sisters, Smokey and Sukki, rescued from Greece by their owners who have sadly died. Initially the girls shared a pen, but it became apparent they did not enjoy the close contact which resulted in disagreements. They were also extremely stressed on arrival so we felt it better to separate the them, however, if the new owner has a large enough property it may be possible to re-introduce them or alternatively home separately.

Sukki, in appearance, is totally different to Smokey - she has gorgeous almond shaped eyes, is a pretty tabby with a coat that feels like velvet to stroke. She is as talkative as her sister but she enjoys snoozing and will make a human wait until she is ready to make contact. Whereas Smokey immediately responds to company day or night, Sukki is more a night owl - once it becomes dark she spends a lot of time observing life outside the pen. She also become very much a lapcat - headbutting for attention and constantly talking.

As we have said in our write-up on Smokey, her sister would also need to be a house cat. Sukki is also very gentle, but also a little on the nervous side so would definitely appreciate a childfree house, but may settle with a gentle quiet older dog. Sukki would love to have the company of an owner who is retired because, like her sister, she is a real lapcat.
