George reunited with his owner after five years

12 July 2017
George reunited with his owner after five years A cat was recently reunited with his owner after five years, much to his owner's surprise.

After Carrie moved house five years ago, George went missing. He soon found someone to move in with, residing there happily for the last five years. Sadly, his elderly owner’s health deteriorated and she had to move into a care home.

George was taken into Cats Protection’s National Cat Centre, where he was scanned for a microchip. On discovering the address on the microchip, the staff at the National Cat Centre decided to use the contact details registered to the microchip.

Carrie was very surprised to see George after a lengthy period apart, but they soon made up for lost time! This excellent reunion story just goes to show the power of getting your cat microchipped.
