Nominate your cat for the National Cat Awards 2018
03 February 2018
Now in its tenth year, Cats Protection's National Cat Awards celebrate the difference cats make to their owners lives - from displaying great courage to simply being an excellent companion.
If you've got a marvellous moggy you'd like to nominate, you have until noon on Friday 9 March to nominate them for one of five categories. Categories are:
Hero Cat - cats that save the day
Most Caring Cat - cats that positively impact a person's health or wellbeing
Furr-ever Friends - tales of friendship between children and cats
Outstanding Rescue Cat - fabulous felines adopted from animal charities
Purina® Better Together - celebrating the special bond that has transformed
Once the nominations are in, a panel of celebrities have the tricky job in selecting the winners of each category. The awards will be given out in a star-studded ceremony, held at the Savoy Hotel in London on Thursday 2 August.
The winner of National Cat of the Year will be handed over from 2017 champion Genie, pictured above, a cat from Lincoln who helped 12-year-old Evie Henderson battle bone cancer.
