Role Description - Adoptions Administrator

How you will make a difference to cats and people:

Cats Protection helps thousands of cats across the UK each year thanks to our network of dedicated volunteers. A key part of this is ensuring that the adoptions process runs smoothly so that the adoptions are completed as quickly as possible.

What the role involves:
  • Working closely with the homing officer,
  • Liaising with adopters to ensure adoption paperwork is completed as smoothly and efficiently as possible,
  • Sending and receiving adoption forms mainly via email, and occasionally via post.
Skills and experience which are expected and/or can be developed in this role:
  • Moderate computer skills, including knowledge of emailing and PDF formatting,
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • The ability to communicate well with a range of people,
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver an excellent adoption experience.
  • The ability to work reliably and flexibly.
Time expectation:

This is a flexible role and the time commitment will differ from week to week, depending on the number of adoptions taking place. On average we estimate it will require approximately 2 to 4 hours per week.
