Lost and Found
Lost and Found
We all know that, despite the best of care, our cats do sometimes go missing. They do wander off and turn up after a few hours or even days wondering what all the fuss is about blissfully unaware of the upset that they have caused us!
If your cat does go missing the first rule is - Not to Panic! First off is to search around the house – all the cupboards and drawers, washing machines and tumble dryers too, under beds, behind sofas, on top of wardrobes etc. Also check your garden, under bushes, hedges, in your sheds and garage. Knock on your neighbours doors and ask them to check their property too.

The postman, milkman, newspaper boy/girl.
Place a notice on your front door so that any delivery people that you don’t see can see all the details.
Advertise as widely as possible. Make up posters with a good description and photo, if possible, and your contact details. Distribute these around local shops, notice boards, trees, lamp posts etc – but don’t forget to remove them when your cat comes home!
Whilst doing this remember to tell people you see about your cat – dog walkers, delivery people etc.
Make up some notices with all relevant details on and go house to house in your area putting them through all the letterboxes.
The more people that know the more likely you are to find him/her.
Remember, when he/she does return, don’t forget to tell the vets, the radio, us etc!
