Director of Operations for CP, Mark Beazley, comments on a cat transfer scheme between Yorkshire Cat Rescue and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. He said: “Back in 2013, we opened our cat homing centre in Gildersome, Leeds, ahead of schedule as we were inundated with requests for help in this area. As for why this is the case, we're unsure, but over 500 cats and kittens are found homes by the centre each year with requests to take in many more. Transferring cats from areas where homing is difficult to areas where there is higher demand can be a great way to get more cats into loving homes as quickly as possible."
